Title:  Sourcing Professional Services - Senior Consultant

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver value-driven sourcing and category management solutions to clients in a structured, professional, and consistent manner. The successful candidate will bring strong Professional Services procurement expertise, with experience across categories such as Consulting, Legal, Audit, Tax, Accounting, and HR Services. This individual will act as a trusted advisor to clients, leveraging market intelligence, commercial acumen, and sourcing best practices to drive savings, manage risk, and deliver strategic business outcomes in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing and category management initiatives across Professional Services categories, including Consulting, Legal, Audit, Tax, Accounting, and HR Services, from strategy development through contract execution.

• Develop and implement category and sourcing strategies that deliver measurable value, cost savings, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement for clients.

• Serve as a subject matter expert in Professional Services procurement, providing market intelligence, supplier insights, industry best practices, and strategic recommendations.

• Lead competitive sourcing events, including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, and negotiation processes to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.

• Negotiate and execute commercial agreements and contracts, including global agreements with multiple schedules, annexes, and service requirements, ensuring compliance and risk management.

• Partner with clients and key stakeholders to understand business objectives, shape sourcing solutions, influence decision-making, and deliver projects within agreed timelines.

• Manage supplier relationships and performance, driving service quality, innovation, issue resolution, and ongoing value realization.

• Analyze spend data, market trends, and supplier landscapes to identify savings opportunities, support sourcing plans, and strengthen procurement decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, or MBA preferred.

• 5+ years of Professional Services sourcing experience (10+ years preferred), including categories such as Consulting, Legal, Audit, Tax, Accounting, and HR Services.

• Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier negotiations, including complex, high-value procurement initiatives.

• Strong contract drafting and negotiation experience, with the ability to independently negotiate commercial terms and manage global agreement structures.

• Proven track record of delivering savings, cost optimization, and value-generation outcomes through sourcing and negotiation strategies.

• Excellent stakeholder and client management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and executive sponsors in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving capabilities, including spend analysis, market assessments, supplier evaluation, and risk management.

• Fluent English communication skills required; German language proficiency is highly desirable. Experience with leading procurement platforms and sourcing tools is an advantage.
