We are looking for a highly skilled Procurement Data Spend Analytics Expert to join our dynamic transformation team. In this client-facing role, you will leverage advanced analytics to support strategic sourcing initiatives, drive cost optimization, and uncover actionable insights across diverse industries. You will work alongside procurement consultants and category managers to deliver high-impact solutions to our clients’ most complex spend challenges.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

Client Engagement & Delivery:

  • Act as a trusted analytics advisor to clients, understanding their procurement landscape and tailoring data solutions to meet project objectives.

  • Lead spend data collection, cleansing, enrichment, and classification activities across multiple client systems.

  • Deliver insightful spend analyses and detailed reports that identify savings opportunities, supplier rationalization strategies, and compliance gaps.

Strategic Insights & Solution Design:

  • Translate complex spend datasets into strategic procurement recommendations.

  • Support sourcing wave planning, opportunity assessments, and supplier negotiations with analytical rigor.

  • Assist in developing procurement transformation roadmaps using data-driven insights.

Data Visualization & Reporting:

  • Create dynamic dashboards and executive-level reporting using Power BI, Tableau, or client specific tools

  • Present findings and strategic recommendations clearly and persuasively to client leadership teams.

Internal Knowledge Development:

  • Support the development of consulting methodologies, tools, and templates for spend analytics and procurement transformation projects.

  • Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives and thought leadership around procurement analytics trends.

Project Management:

  • Manage project workstreams independently, meeting deadlines and quality standards in a fast-paced, consulting environment.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (procurement consultants, data engineers, sourcing specialists) to ensure successful project delivery.

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Data Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in data analytics, management consulting, or operatons strategy.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik etc.
  • Ability to translate complex data into simple, strategic business insights.
  • Experience working with large datasets; proficiency in data cleansing, classification, and transformation
  • Familiarity with procurement concepts is advantageous but not required.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven analytics tools or techniques (e.g., machine learning, natural language processing, predictive analytics).
  • Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to work across multiple industries and procurement categories.

Preferred Skills: 

  • Prior experience working in procurement transformation or cost reduction projects in a consulting environment.
  • Experience with procurement systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle Procurement) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry taxonomies like UNSPSC or custom classifications.
  • Background in spend analysis, category strategy, or supplier management is helpful but not mandatory.
  • Experience applying machine learning techniques or predictive analytics to procurement problems.
  • Certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, or Lean Six Sigma are advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and travel to client sites when required (travel up to 20 - 30%).
