As part of the Transformation Services unit, the Procurement Value Creation team provides consulting in indirect procurement to our clients globally, optimizing third-party spend, driving efficiencies, accelerating cost reductions, and designing operating models for global clients. We enhance procurement strategies, digitalize S2C and P2P processes, and implement analytics for spend tracking. Through procurement assessments and cost optimization, we accelerate value capture and improve financial performance.

We are currently looking for a Consultant / Senior Consultant to join our Global Procurement Value Creation team in Zurich. As we continue to expand, we aim to strengthen our highly experienced team to provide best-in-class support to our growing client base.

Role Purpose

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering value-added Procurement consulting services to clients in a structured, professional, and consistent manner. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality procurement consulting projects, supporting clients in strategic assessments, process optimization, and savings initiatives. You will take ownership of workstreams, ensuring analytical rigor and actionable insights are aligned with client objectives. Additionally, you will act as a bridge between junior team members and leadership, managing project deliverables efficiently to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations. As a global team delivering projects for clients worldwide, there is also the exciting possibility of a secondment in one of our key locations, such as New York, London, Singapore, Mumbai, or Bucharest, depending on business needs and availability.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic, client-focused Consultant / Senior Consultant to join our Procurement Value Creation team. This role requires proven experience in consulting, supply chain, Finance or procurement.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Performing Spend Analysis & Supplier Assessments: Conduct thorough spend analysis, assess suppliers, and develop effective sourcing strategies.
• Collaborating with Clients: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and present tailored solutions that address their specific challenges.
• Supporting Business Development: Assist in proposal writing and contribute to business development initiatives by identifying potential opportunities.
• Managing Workstreams: Take ownership of specific workstreams, ensuring high-quality deliverables and aligning with client expectations.
• AI & Automation: Contribute to the ongoing training and enhancement of the Chain IQ AI Consulting Agent, ensuring it delivers valuable insights for project execution.

Requirements

We are seeking someone with:

• Experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Consulting: 3-6 years of experience in these fields, with strong expertise in procurement, sourcing, and category management.
• Proactive mindset: Willingness to go the extra mile and proactively support the team and lead more junior resources.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and procurement analytics tools.
• Problem-Solving & Communication Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
• Educational Background: A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Language Skills: Fluency in both German and English is essential; additional languages such as French or Spanish are a plus.
• Desirable skills: Data & analytics, AI & automation, prompt engineering, change management, storytelling & data visualization and/or graphic design.
