The Sourcing team in GB consists of sourcing professionals covering all indirect spend categories for our Clients. The team provides Clients with a range of sourcing services covering the end to end sourcing lifecycle, dependent on their needs, including market analysis, running market tenders, contract negotiation and contract drafting. Each member of the team works on multiple Client projects simultaneously, in both a client-facing and supplier-facing role, working on both regional sourcing projects as well as global initiatives. The primary purpose of the function is to deliver value-add sourcing services to Clients, in a structured, professional and consistent manner.

The scope of the role relates to the indirect spend of clients across Consulting Services.


The Sourcing Professional Services – Expert needs to be a dynamic, highly client-focused individual with proven experience ideally across multiple categories, but minimally with deep expertise specifically in Professional Services. The individual will be responsible for delivering sourcing initiatives covering the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle and will need to have a global awareness of the different markets for the provision of services. The individual will need to have proven experience in working with the main suppliers within the category, both locally and globally. The Sourcing Professional Services – Expert will need to be confident in engaging with senior stakeholders and be experienced in working as part of a cross-functional team to deliver a range of projects including complex large scale projects as well as smaller projects, as the work covers a mix of both.


Tasks and Responsibilities:        

  • Consult and support Business Partners on all matters relating to the Sourcing of Professional Services. Development and execution of procurement strategies within a complex, high spend, and highly visible category
  • Independently lead the implementation of tender initiatives and contract negotiation as project lead via e-sourcing tools
  • Establish and maintain a close relationship with internal and external Business Partners as well as vendors. Manage a challenging, broad role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment for multiple client accounts
  • Coordinate commercial, operational, and legal aspects with relevant experts in a cross-functional team
  • Collaboration on global procurement strategies and implementation of regional requirements
  • Provide key stakeholder support in the sourcing lifecycle - including driving sourcing, RFI, RFP, evaluation, drafting, contracting, on-boarding, negotiations, supplier management, etc.
  • Collaboration on special projects in interdisciplinary (global) teams



  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management or equal - MCIPS desirable
  • Minimum (10+ years) of progressive experience in indirect procurement and 5+ years in specific category of Professional Services in an international (corporate) environment
  • In depth experience in review, negotiation, and execution of contracts with vendors.
  • Understanding of how Professional Services contracts (incl. Master Service Agreements and Supply Orders) are scoped, structured, and cost controlled. Specific know-how in Sourcing of Consultancy is preferred. Understanding of typical risks and contractual mitigation/management of such
  • Experience in senior stakeholder management and managing complex vendor/client relationships including proven ability to build rapport with clients and maintain professionalism in communications with all levels of client stakeholders
  • Good analytical and conceptual skills and quick understanding of complex content, figures and interfaces. Ability to utilize procurement and financial data to understand spending trends and to leverage that information to identify procurement insights that result in process efficiencies or cost savings for the client
  • Proactive, flexible, and client-focused personality with excellent negotiation and communication skills. Broad negotiation toolkit and ability to function effectively in the face of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity
  • Expert knowledge of technologies/ processes/ tools as well as contractual and legal aspects of Professional Services contracts
  • Experience in working with market leading sourcing tools/systems would be a plus
  • Excellent English (native, C1 or equivalent) written and verbal communication skills. Any additional language, considered a plus but not a requirement
