Join Our Team

Our Singapore team is expanding, and we are seeking a highly motivated Category Manager – Professional Services Procurement. This role is ideal for an experienced sourcing professional specialising in professional services categories such as consulting, legal, HR services, audit, tax, training, and other advisory‑related services.

You will be based in Singapore, supporting both national and regional initiatives across APAC. This position is fully focused on procurement strategy, sourcing execution, commercial governance, and supplier management. It does not involve operational HR, legal work, or internal consulting activities.

Role Purpose

As the Professional Services Category Manager, you will take end‑to‑end commercial ownership of the Professional Services spend category. You will design sourcing strategies, lead negotiations, evaluate service providers, and manage commercial governance across consulting firms, legal partners, HR service providers, talent and training suppliers, audit/tax firms, and other professional services vendors.

This is a pure procurement role. You will collaborate closely with stakeholder groups such as HR, Legal, Finance, and business leaders — but your accountability lies in procurement strategy, commercial outcomes, supplier performance, and governance.

What You Will Do:

Procurement Strategy and Execution

Develop and implement multi‑year Professional Services category strategies tailored for Singapore and the region, aligned with global procurement frameworks and client objectives.

Strategic Sourcing

Lead RFPs, RFIs, supplier evaluations, rate benchmarking, and complex contract negotiations across consulting, legal, audit, tax, HR services, training, and other advisory categories.

Regional Procurement Support

Support APAC‑wide sourcing initiatives, supplier onboarding, commercial reviews, and compliance governance. Activities remain focused on procurement and commercial outcomes.

Market Intelligence

Analyse the professional services landscape across Singapore and APAC, including consulting market trends, day‑rate and fee structures, regulatory shifts, emerging service models, and supplier capabilities.

Stakeholder Management

Partner with HR, Legal, Finance, Compliance, and business leaders to ensure sourcing decisions meet commercial, regulatory, and operational expectations.

Supplier Partnership and Value Creation

Manage strategic professional services suppliers, monitor performance via KPIs and SLAs, optimise fee structures, and identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency, and innovation.

Compliance and Risk

Ensure all sourcing activities comply with Singapore’s regulatory requirements, global procurement policies, and ESG guidelines, particularly for services involving sensitive data or regulated practices.

What You Bring:

Expertise

5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management, with direct experience managing Professional Services spend (consulting, legal, audit/tax, HR services, training, or related categories). Must be procurement‑focused.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Law, or a related field.

Negotiation Power

Demonstrated experience negotiating complex fee structures, consulting rate cards, master service agreements, legal retainers, audit engagement terms, and HR/talent service contracts.

Mobility

Based in Singapore with willingness to support regional activities including supplier assessments and stakeholder engagements across APAC.

Analytical Mindset

Strong commercial and analytical skills with ability to assess rate cards, evaluate proposals, analyse spend data, and develop actionable sourcing insights.

Stakeholder Influence

Excellent communication and influencing abilities, with experience engaging senior functional leaders in a matrixed environment.

Language

Fluency in English required; additional Asian languages are advantageous for regional engagement.
