Role Purpose

As a Tactical Sourcing Consultant, you act as a bridge between strategic category goals and operational reality. You focus on the expert execution of sourcing requests within the FM and Real Estate categories: including integrated facility services, repairs, and workplace transformations. You provide commercial advisory to local stakeholders, ensuring that every purchase and contract negotiation aligns with global best practices while meeting the specific needs of the China market.

What You Will Do

• Sourcing Advisory and Execution: Lead end to end tactical sourcing activities including localized RFQs, competitive bidding, and complex spot buys for FM services.
• Contractual Consulting: Draft and negotiate service level agreements (SLAs) and local contracts to ensure robust commercial protection and regulatory compliance.
• On Site Project Leadership: Travel to client locations to conduct site assessments, audit service delivery, and consult on localized supplier transitions.
• Supplier Optimization: Identify and onboard high quality local vendors while consulting with suppliers to drive performance improvements against agreed KPIs.
• Value Creation: Identify immediate cost saving opportunities and process efficiencies within the daily sourcing flow to deliver measurable impact.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a professional consultant to local facility managers and site leads, resolving complex sourcing bottlenecks and urgent requirements.
• Digital Excellence: Ensure all sourcing activities are accurately managed within digital procurement systems to maintain data transparency and audit readiness.

What You Bring

• Experience: 4 to 6 years of experience in tactical sourcing, procurement consulting, or operational purchasing, with a focus on FM or Real Estate.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Consultative Selling and Negotiation: Strong ability to negotiate commercial terms and "sell" procurement value to internal stakeholders and local service providers.
• Mobility: Based in Shanghai with the flexibility to travel to regional sites for project implementation and supplier audits.
• Analytical Agility: Ability to manage multiple high priority requests while maintaining a focus on data accuracy and detail.
• Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of local China business regulations, contract law, and safety standards (HSE).
• Language: Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential.
