Role Purpose: 

As a Senior Consultant within the Professional Services Category team, you will lead sourcing initiatives and manage complex procurement activities across a range of BPO, Professional Services (e.g., Business Consulting, Audit, HR, Legal, IT Consulting, etc.) and Marketing Services. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver value through cost optimization, commercial excellence, risk management, and innovative sourcing strategies. This role requires strong category expertise, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to lead high-value sourcing projects in a dynamic global environment.

Responsibilities: 

Category Strategy & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the subject matter expert for indirect categories – BPO, Professional Services (e.g., Business Consulting, Audit, HR, Legal, IT Consulting, etc.) and Marketing Services
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across business functions and geographies.
• Build and maintain stakeholder engagement plans and category-specific communication strategies.
• Proactively foster effective collaboration and ensure strong communication with key client stakeholders and colleagues in and across the region(s) to deliver defined business goals.
• Identify business needs and translate them into sourcing and procurement strategies that support organizational objectives.
• Ensure effective supplier relationship management for strategic and preferred suppliers.

Sourcing & Procurement Delivery

• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including market analysis, supplier selection, negotiations, contracting, and implementation.
• Conduct spend, contract and market analyses to identify savings opportunities, efficiencies and sourcing risks.
• Develop and implement category strategies and sourcing roadmaps aligned with regional and global business requirements.
• Deliver measurable cost savings and value creation through effective sourcing practices.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance standards, and ethical sourcing principles.

Commercial & Supplier Management

• Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal contractual, financial, and operational outcomes.
• Manage relationships with major strategic suppliers
• Support contract reviews and negotiations to ensure commercial robustness and risk mitigation.

Project & Tender Management

• Manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously while ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Design and execute sourcing events, including RFI, RFP, RFQ, eAuctions and competitive tender processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate supplier proposals and support decision-making.
• Track, measure and report sourcing outcomes and savings achievements.

Requirements:

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management or equal (bachelor’s degree)
• Experienced in Sourcing Operations and Procurement processes and best practice
• Minimum (8+ years) of progressive experience in indirect procurement with preferred 1+ years in specific category of Professional Services in an international (corporate) environment
• Experience in review, negotiation, and execution of contracts with vendors with strong negotiation skills.
• Experienced in conducting tenders (RFI, RFP, RFQ)
• Specific know-how in Sourcing of BPO, Marketing, Business Consulting, Personnel Services, Audit, Tax and other professional services is preferred.
• Problem-solving, relationship management, escalation management and influencing skills with a strong customer-service orientation
• Good interpersonal, analytical, communication skills. A delivery-focused sourcer and a team player. Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure
• Excellent English - written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in German language is plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
