Senior Consultant - E-Sourcing/E-Auction Expert 

 

Role Purpose:

The E-Sourcing/E-Auction Expert will be responsible for coordinating and executing e-auction events to optimize procurement processes. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive cost savings and efficiency gains through e-procurement initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • E-Auction Coordination: Lead the planning, execution, and management of e-auction events across various procurement categories, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify sourcing opportunities suitable for e-auction and develop effective event strategies to maximize value.

  • Platform Management: Manage the end-to-end e-auction process, including bidder registration, auction setup, bid monitoring, and post-event analysis, utilizing e-procurement platforms.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze bidding data and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of e-auction events, identify trends, and generate actionable insights for continuous improvement.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with procurement category managers and cross-functional teams to ensure e-auction strategies align with category objectives and organizational goals.

  • Training and Support: Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on e-auction best practices, bidding strategies, and platform functionalities, fostering a culture of e-procurement excellence.

  • Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with e-auction platform providers, staying abreast of industry trends and advancements in e-procurement technology.

  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate e-auction results, savings achievements, and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field: Ensure candidates have a foundational understanding of business principles and procurement concepts.

  • Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management: Look for candidates with a track record of success in procurement roles, preferably with experience in e-sourcing/e-auctions.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data interpretation and trend analysis: Seek candidates who can effectively analyze bidding data and derive actionable insights to drive decision-making.

  • Familiarity with e-sourcing/e-auction platforms and procurement technologies: Prior experience with platforms such as Ariba, Jaegger, etc will be advantageous.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Emphasize the importance of clear communication and collaboration in engaging with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality: Highlight the need for meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to delivering high-quality work.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment: Seek candidates who can thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, balancing competing demands and meeting tight deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Ensure candidates are proficient in using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for data analysis, reporting, and presentations.
