Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated professional (Sourcing Market Data Services - Senior Consultant) to support both Market Data Operations and Operational/Tactical Sourcing activities within the Market Data Services (MDS) function. The role combines day‑to‑day administration of market data services with the delivery of commercial insights, sourcing support and vendor management activities. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, client‑focused and comfortable working in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and process all demand requests ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.
  • Manage the full Joiners/Movers/Leavers lifecycle, including user setup, entitlement changes and vendor platform updates (e.g., Bloomberg, LSEG/DACS).
  • Maintain accurate MDS inventory by updating all user, product and entitlement changes; conduct regular data validation with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with vendor account managers to maintain up‑to‑date user lists and support renewals.
  • Perform monthly invoice reconciliation against inventory, troubleshoot discrepancies and support Accounts Payable with allocation outputs.
  • Perform monthly vendor declarations and handle ad‑hoc exchange reporting requirements.
  • Respond to stakeholder queries regarding licence usage, contract inclusions/exclusions, entity coverage and compliance with usage rights.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal clients, acting as a reliable point of contact for MDS operational matters.
  • Support assigned MDS initiatives such as demand management, savings challenges, optimization exercises and usage reviews.
  • Support sourcing activities such as renewals, benchmarking, negotiations, vendor clarifications and displacement opportunities.
  • Assist with RFx, commercial analysis, pricing comparisons, spend reviews and supplier evaluation activities.
  • Contribute to cost‑saving and optimization initiatives by providing data insights, consumption analysis and usage rationalization recommendations.
  • Review vendor contracts from an operational perspective, ensuring compliance with licensing terms, rights management rules and governance frameworks.
  • Deliver accurate operational and sourcing‑related reporting to support financial planning, stakeholder decision‑making and performance tracking.
  • Maintain awareness of market data vendor landscape, product developments, pricing changes and industry trends to support sourcing strategy.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the Market Data Services function.
  • Strong understanding of Market Data Services, vendor systems, user entitlement workflows and licensing structures.
  • Exposure to market data vendors and tools preferred.
  • Experience with procurement processes, vendor management or commercial negotiations an advantage.
  • Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail and comfort working across multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, reconcile inconsistencies and produce clear reporting.
  • Team‑oriented, proactive, adaptable and committed to continuous learning.
  • Interest in deepening expertise in market data sourcing, vendor management and commercial negotiations.
