Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development, execution, and continuous improvement of global and regional sourcing strategies for packaging, pallets, and consumables focusing on enhancing specifications and integrating sustainable solutions.
• Drive specification harmonization and simplification to reduce complexity, improve quality, and unlock cost and sustainability benefits.
• Identify opportunities to standardize materials and suppliers while balancing local operational requirements.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to ensure competitive pricing, quality, durability, and sustainability.
• Engage with new and existing suppliers globally to negotiate contracts that align with our sustainability and cost-effectiveness goals.
• Lead and support commercial negotiations covering pricing, service levels, innovation, sustainability commitments, and contractual terms.
• Build and execute RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and tenders, including e-sourcing and e-auctions, in line with procurement governance.
• Evaluate bids using a structured, data-driven approach considering cost, quality, service, risk, and sustainability criteria.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their packaging, pallets and consumables needs, ensuring alignment with broader business and environmental objectives. 
• Actively integrate sustainable solutions into packaging, pallet, and consumables sourcing (e.g., recyclable materials, reusability, reduced weight, waste reduction).
• Build, manage, and analyze complex datasets related to spend, suppliers, performance, and sustainability metrics.
• Translate data into actionable insights to support decision-making and stakeholder alignment.
• Ensure sourcing activities comply with procurement policies, audit requirements, and internal controls.

Requirements:

• 13 -15 + years of experience in:
• Sourcing or category management experience.
• Packaging, pallets, or consumables roles within manufacturing, FMCG, food, aviation, or logistics-intensive industries.
• Experience with RFQs/RFPs, negotiations, and contract management.
• Experience in the packaging and consumables industry, either in a sourcing role or an industry-specific position, with a strong understanding of industry standards and TCO.
• Expertise in evaluating and improving packaging, pallet and consumables specifications and implementing sustainable solutions.

• Solid knowledge of sourcing processes, tendering methodologies, and contract management.
• Proven negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms that align with both cost and sustainability objectives.
• Comfortable working in a global setup, with a deep understanding of various international markets, such as Europe and the US, other regions are a plus.
• Experience in building, managing and translating complex data sets into relevant actionable information.
