Role Purpose
The primary purpose of this role is to deliver strategic sourcing and procurement expertise across the HR Services category, driving measurable value for clients through innovative sourcing strategies, supplier optimization, and commercial excellence. The role partners closely with Human Resources, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders to source, negotiate, and manage complex HR-related services including contingent workforce, recruitment process outsourcing (RPO), executive search, learning and development, employee benefits, wellness programs, and other people-focused services. Leveraging deep market intelligence and category expertise, the position identifies opportunities to improve service quality, reduce total cost of ownership, mitigate risk, and enhance supplier performance across the HR Services ecosystem. The role acts as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders, ensuring all sourcing activities align with business objectives, category strategies, governance requirements, and long-term workforce and talent priorities.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives across HR Services categories, including contingent workforce, recruitment process outsourcing (RPO), executive search, learning and development, benefits administration, employee wellness, relocation, and other people-related services.
- Develop and execute category strategies that deliver cost savings, enhance supplier performance, mitigate risk, and support business and human capital objectives.
- Partner with Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, align sourcing priorities, and develop procurement solutions that meet organizational needs.
- Conduct market assessments, supplier benchmarking, and industry research to identify emerging trends, innovative service models, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Lead complex RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, contract negotiations, and commercial discussions to secure optimal pricing, service levels, and contractual protections.
- Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships, driving performance management, governance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives across key HR Services providers.
- Identify and implement opportunities to standardize services, optimize vendor portfolios, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HR-related spend.
- Ensure sourcing activities comply with corporate procurement policies, regulatory requirements, risk management standards, and applicable employment and data privacy regulations.
- Provide strategic procurement guidance and category expertise to stakeholders, leveraging data analytics, market intelligence, and best practices to support informed decision-making and maximize value from third-party HR Services engagements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Data Analytics or a related field.
- 4+ years of strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, or vendor management experience, with significant expertise in HR Services and Professional Services categories.
- Demonstrated experience sourcing and negotiating agreements across HR-related categories, including recruitment process outsourcing (RPO), managed service providers (MSP), contingent workforce, executive search, learning and development, benefits administration, employee wellbeing, payroll, and HR consulting services.
- Proven ability to lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including category strategy development, supplier selection, RFP management, commercial negotiations, contract execution, and supplier governance.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience evaluating pricing models, benchmarking costs, developing business cases, and delivering measurable savings and value creation.
- Extensive experience negotiating complex Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), service-level agreements (SLAs), data privacy provisions, and performance-based commercial arrangements.
- Deep understanding of HR industry trends, workforce solutions, talent acquisition services, HR technology ecosystems, and supplier market dynamics.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across HR, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Legal, Finance, Risk Management, and senior business leadership teams.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple sourcing initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced global environment.
