The Client Solutions & Service Delivery Manager (SDM) plays a critical role in ensuring best in class MDS project management and service support as defined within an agreed predefined plan with the client. The CDM will be primarily focussed on day to day delivery but also responsible for identifying upsell opportunities within the designated client. 

This is a Global Procurement Single Point of Contact (SPOC), end to end span for MDS Demand Management (via stake holder management), supply analysis/strategy, supplier identification, sourcing execution (i.e., “tendering”), contract negotiation, delivery and implementation planning and monitoring. To ensure we build and maintain a strong, long-term relationship and a high level of satisfaction with the assigned client which is crucial for the commercial success of Chain IQ. Acting as a single point of contact and helping acquire new business while maximizing sales opportunities by anticipating and understanding the client’s demands.


Your responsibilities:

Immediate Specific

  • Licensing repurposing without changing existing use cases.
  • Prioritize vendors to address
  • Redraft/Clarify current licensing terms:
    • to ensure that clients existing operational legacy teams can seamlessly continue to process the licensed data for existing usage cases
    • Clarify/Update the client existing data usage cases to ensure they reflect current usage and products
    • Standardized data usage (internal, derived storage, external…)
  • Licensing repurposing by changing existing use cases.


  • Leverage Chain IQ’s understanding of MDS vendor’s evolving data licensing models, expertise in capturing relevant licensing terms and implementing a governance framework.
  • Design & Implement company-wide 3rd party data governance policies and practices, anticipating future requirements and application of data and industry knowledge
  • Begin managing internal compliance to complex license terms, developing viable termination and backup plans for major vendor relationships, client usage, performance management, etc.
  • Be responsible for establishing and leading all data procurement efforts to efficiently and effectively enabling spend owners to maximize the value they receive from suppliers (e.g. Bloomberg, Refinitiv, S&P, Moody’s, FactSet) and negotiate appropriate and best-in-class license terms, utilizing Chain IQ’s 5 Step Sourcing Processes from leading data providers
  • Manage the full Contracting Lifecycle (e.g. negotiations, renewals, amendments, new strategic vetting) and payment management (track/report)
  • Relationship Management - Understanding the complexities of the many available market data solutions and synthesize effectively (e.g. data providers, technology colleagues, internal business clients)
  • Develop a deep understanding of client business requirements/demands and collect and distribute important client information internally for strategic account planning and revenue growth within the client
  • Revenue Generation / Sales Process - Identify new client demands / requests and proactively develop innovative client-orientated solutions in order to drive-up and cross-sell opportunities; this includes the involvement of client executives. 
  • Client Reporting - Collaborate with SDM and Reporting/Analytics to ensure quality Client ASQ creation and presentation to client
  • Escalation Management – act as a point of escalation for client risks and issues as defined within escalation matrix if cannot be resolved at Service Delivery level.  Escalate and own resolution client related issues within Chain IQ where escalation exists.
  • Stakeholder Management – maintain and collaborate with SDM an open dialogue, where applicable, with the client in order to create a strong, long-term relationship and to anticipate evolving client demands/request


Your profile:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, networking and relationship-building skills at all levels of an organization together with the ability to work effectively in a matrix environment
  • Strong analytical, organizational skills and proven experience in direct or indirect leadership roles
  • Strong negotiating skills and working knowledge of contract law
  • Able to manage multiple conflicting priorities
  • Proven track record in account management or client engagement management ideally in a procurement services environment
  • Inquisitive and solutions orientated with a client centric mind set and ability to find solutions based on client needs
