The Engagement Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the successful revenue growth in the region (and globally where required). They take a predominately external prospect/market perspective while working closely with cross functional teams to drive new business prospecting, convert opportunities into contracts, and hand over clients to service delivery. This role acts as the main point of contact for potential clients, building and managing the relationship through the sales process with focus on understanding client needs to drive commercial success for Chain IQ.

 

Your responsibilities: 

 

Through working with the Global Sales & Market Enablement Team, C Suite and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within Chain IQ, your responsibilities include:

 

  • Using market knowledge and available resources, work with the global sales team to develop and progress viable opportunities for growth within the region.
  • Manage the relationship with assigned prospective clients during the sales process
  • Collaborate with internal functions during the bidding process to create compelling proposals that lead to profitable contracts, expansion and assist scoped project work.
  • Project manage the delivery of presentations, proposals, and other materials to the prospective clients as part of the sales process:
    • Manage the completion of request for proposals, due diligence questionnaires and ad hoc requests timely and to a high standard
    • Co-ordinate the input from colleagues and other SME’s to complete client assessment opportunities (including analysis of available resources such as client spend and contracts)
    • Work with service delivery teams, using analysis and insights on available client data, to develop client-orientated solutions to demonstrate Chain IQ’s strategy and value based on specific client needs
  • As required, participate in sales presentations to support the sales team as a SME
  • As required, work with Legal and other relevant SME’s to conclude contracts for Chain IQ services with prospective clients
  • Work closely with sourcing, procurement and technical practitioners across Chain IQ to provide both best practice market insights and practical implementation advice to prospective clients
  • Contribute to the quality and continuous improvement of sales collateral, case studies, infographics, white paper, new market offerings, win strategies for C Suite initiatives
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal functions including Sales, Category Management and Service Delivery functions to truly understand Chain IQ capabilities, enabling identification of further sales opportunities    

 

Your profile:

  • 10+ years of procurement practitioner and/or procurement consulting experience, ideally with some experience in sales of related services
  • Educated to Degree or Masters equivalent
  • Proven track record of designing, fostering and delivering C-Suite collateral to support the account planning/sales strategy 
  • Highly responsive with demonstrated ability to take initiative, high degree of business acumen and interact with all levels within our firm
  • Capability to manage cross-functional teams with strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence.
  • Given the nature of tasks, this candidate must be trusted to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to demonstrate awareness of business and organizational sensitivities and reflect this in approaches to communicating change
  • Experienced, independent thinker with proven experience and capability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and stakeholders to deliver results, often to tight deadlines
  • Excellent organization and planning skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Advanced skills in data analysis methods using MS Solutions and Power BI and/or new/ equivalent creative solutions
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to translate complicated concepts into comprehensible visions for the target audience- using both oral and written skills including Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Experience with electronic knowledge, repository management, intranets/portals, collaborative tools
  • A team player, highly motivated, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a good aptitude to learn and a willingness to share knowledge
  • Fluent in English language (verbal and written)
