Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality sourcing services to clients in a structured, professional, and consistent manner.

We are seeking a dynamic and client-focused individual to join our German IT Sourcing team. The successful candidate will have experience across the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle for IT engagements, with a focus on Software, Hardware, Cloud, Telecommunications, and IT Services categories.

Working alongside experienced sourcing professionals, the candidate will support the delivery of sourcing projects, supplier negotiations, market analyses, and contract lifecycle activities for local and global clients.

 

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Senior Sourcing Consultant to join the Technology Services team. The ideal candidate is a motivated, client-oriented professional with sourcing experience in Technology Services and a strong interest in developing deep category expertise.

 

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Support and independently manage sourcing engagements of varying spend and complexity levels across IT sourcing categories, including Software Licensing & Maintenance, SaaS, Cloud Services, Hardware, Telecom, Network Services, Data Center Services, and Managed Services.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, objectives, priorities, and sourcing opportunities.
  • Conduct spend analyses, supplier assessments, market research, and benchmarking activities.
  • Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies and negotiation plans.
  • Assist in identifying cost optimization and value creation opportunities across sourcing engagements.
  • Prepare and manage RFx processes, supplier evaluations, and commercial comparisons using sourcing tools and platforms.
  • Contribute to contract reviews and negotiations, partnering with senior colleagues and legal teams where appropriate.
  • Build and maintain productive supplier relationships and stay informed about relevant market developments and industry trends.
  • Ensure compliance with client governance, procurement policies, legal requirements, and sourcing procedures.
  • Provide accurate project reporting, savings tracking, and documentation using Chain IQ and client systems.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT Sourcing, Procurement, Vendor Management, or related commercial roles.
  • Experience in one or more IT sourcing categories, including Software, SaaS, Cloud, Hardware, Telecommunications, Data Center, or IT Services.
  • Demonstrated experience participating in supplier negotiations and sourcing projects.
  • Good understanding of commercial contract terms, Statements of Work (SOWs), Software Agreements, SaaS Agreements, and Service Level Agreements.
  • Ability to analyze supplier proposals, pricing structures, and commercial models.
  • Knowledge of sourcing methodologies, RFx processes, supplier evaluation, and contract management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and develop category expertise.
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
