Role Purpose
The primary purpose is to deliver value-add sourcing services to clients in a structured, professional and consistent manner.
Responsibilities
We are currently seeking an Expert to join the Technology Services team. The Sourcing Expert needs to be a dynamic, highly client-focused individual with proven experience within Technology Sourcing.
The individual will have experience in working with the main Technology Services suppliers in the Americas and globally.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Strategic IT Sourcing: Lead the end-to-end strategic sourcing of IT services from global vendors, ensuring cost-effective, value-driven procurement solutions.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships while negotiating complex IT services deals that align with organizational goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to senior internal stakeholders, proactively promoting procurement services.
- Have a professional services mindset and serve as a “tour guide” to help internal clients navigate procurement processes and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Analytical and Tool Proficiency: Confidently work with sourcing tools, benchmarks, and analytics to deliver data-driven insights and results.
- Utilize modern tools and methodologies to enhance procurement effectiveness.
- Collaboration and Global Networking: Work effectively within a global “swarm intelligence” environment, collaborating with colleagues across regions to share expertise, best practices, and solutions.
- Embrace a culture of knowledge-sharing by both receiving and providing guidance within the team.
- On-Site Presence: Commit to working 2-3 days per week in our midtown Manhattan office and 1 day per week in Jersey City, ensuring effective collaboration and engagement with stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain concentration and/or MBA would be a plus);
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT services sourcing or a commercial background within the IT services industry, ideally within a financial or professional services organization.
- Demonstrated sourcing and negotiation experience with major IT Suppliers;
- Ability to perform complex contract drafting and negotiations with limited additional legal support for Master Software License, Maintenance Agreements, Supply/Task Orders/SOWs; Amendments; Service Level Agreements; etc.;
- Ability to structure contracts with multiple concurrent Schedules, Annexes, Supply Orders, and Attachments across multiple global regions;
- Demonstrated experience in identifying savings and cost reduction opportunities in IT contract negotiations, and developing and leading negotiation strategies to achieve those savings and other value;
- Demonstrates strong analytical abilities with experience in leveraging sourcing tools, benchmarks, and data driven results;
- Ability to manage engagement risk through identification and assessment of relevant hypothetical issues that could impact each engagement, and addressing such scenarios and relevant risk sharing in the contract;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to effectively communicate with and influence senior clients/stakeholders;
- Ability to quickly understand and apply new concepts (e.g., business models; governance models; scaling of platform from local to regional to global; supplier pricing models; contracting options and alternatives; sourcing tools and platforms; sourcing processes, policies, and procedures);
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize a wide array of initiatives to achieve multiple concurrent tight deadlines;
- Ability to collaborate with a global team of sourcing and procurement team members of varying experience levels, motivating each to bring their best in addressing client business needs and growing as professionals;
- Ability to commute comfortably to midtown Manhattan and Jersey City as required.
What We Offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for New York City Metro Area is $120,000 to $173,400, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, qualifications, skills, location and applicable employment laws.
