Role Purpose
The primary purpose is to deliver value-add sourcing services to clients in a structured, professional and consistent manner.
Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Expert to join the Real Estate & Services team. The Sourcing Real Estate & Services Expert needs to be a dynamic, highly client-focused individual with proven experience within facilities, real estate, construction and related corporate services.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Lead Strategic Sourcing Initiatives: Driving complex, high‑value sourcing strategies across Real Estate, Facilities Management, MRO, Construction, and related Corporate Services, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities, risk tolerance, and long‑term value creation
- Serve as a Strategic Partner to Senior Business Stakeholders
- Engaging regularly with senior leaders to understand evolving business strategies, operational priorities, and investment plans
- Translating these needs into forward‑looking sourcing approaches that guide stakeholders toward optimal commercial and delivery outcomes
- Shape Commercial and Contracting Strategies
- Influencing deal structures early in the process by aligning business requirements with sourcing best practices, scalable delivery models, and commercially sound contract terms
- Ensuring that each engagement supports broader category strategies and enterprise objectives
- Drive Value Creation and Financial Optimization
- Identifying, quantifying, and delivering savings opportunities across all engagements using advanced cost‑modeling techniques, benchmarking insights, and negotiation strategies
- Partnering with stakeholders to ensure cost optimization is embedded in project design—not just contract execution
- Develop and Maintain Strategic Supplier Relationships
- Cultivating high‑value relationships with key suppliers across Corporate Services categories, staying well‑informed on their capabilities, competitive positioning, innovation roadmaps, and market trends
- Leveraging these insights to enhance supplier performance and category strategy
- Lead Competitive Events and Cross‑Functional Evaluation Processes
- Designing and managing sophisticated competitive sourcing events (RFx), leveraging automated sourcing tools and structured evaluation methodologies
- Facilitating cross‑functional assessments to ensure selection decisions are data‑driven, transparent, and aligned with business objectives
- Architect and Negotiate Complex Contracting Arrangements
- Drafting, refining, and negotiating SOWs, MSAs, and commercial terms using client templates while tailoring deal‑specific provisions to manage risk, enforce accountability, and maximize long‑term value
- Partnering closely with Legal, Risk, and Finance to ensure compliance and commercial soundness
- Ensure Governance, Process Compliance & Operational Excellence
- Upholding governance standards across all sourcing engagements by ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and internal procurement policies
- Championing process improvements that enhance efficiency, transparency, and strategic control
- Provide Insightful Reporting & Value Tracking
- Delivering clear, accurate reporting on sourcing project status, savings delivery, risk considerations, and value realization using required Chain IQ and client reporting tools
- Communicating insights to stakeholders and category leadership to support informed decision‑making
- Drive Global Collaboration and Best‑Practice Sharing
- Partnering with global Chain IQ teams to coordinate cross‑regional sourcing strategies, supplier governance activities, and process harmonization initiatives
- Contributing to the development and adoption of best practices across the sourcing function
- Mentor and Develop Talent: Providing coaching, guidance, and thought leadership to junior team members, supporting capability development and fostering a culture of strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and sourcing excellence
Requirements
- Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in Corporate Service and Real Estate sourcing and procurement roles in one or more of the categories with demonstrated sourcing and negotiation experience with major Services Suppliers
- Ability to perform contract drafting and negotiations with limited additional legal support
- Demonstrated experience in identifying savings and cost reduction opportunities in contract negotiations, and developing and leading negotiating strategies to achieve those savings
- Ability to quickly understand and apply new concepts (i.e., supplier pricing models; contracting options and alternatives; sourcing tools and platforms; sourcing processes, policies, and procedures)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to effectively communicate with and influence senior clients/stakeholders
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize a wide array of initiatives to tight deadlines
- Experience in working with market leading sourcing tools/systems is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics or supply chain
- Advanced degree preferred
What We Offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for New York City Metro Area is $120,000 to $170,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, qualifications, skills, location and applicable employment laws. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401(k), and a wide range of paid time off options.
