Purpose: We are seeking a dynamic, client-focused individual to join our US team based in Jersey City, NJ as a Professional Services Manager. The candidate must have experience leading sourcing teams as this role will require leadership of a broader offshore sourcing support team. Leadership requires ensuring that the team achieves specific objectives and attainment of key performance measures. From a sourcing perspective, the candidate must have experience in the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle with a concentration in professional services (management consultants, legal services, recruitment, HR, etc.).

  • Ability to isolate and focus on short-term issue resolution as well as systemic issues that requires planning and strategic thinking to resolve
  • Ability to consume various organizational and often independent business challenges and drive strategic solutions for entire entity as a whole
  • Broad enough experience to discuss multiple spend categories and deliver a level of expertise in how to improve long-term management of these categories
  • Deliver solutions road-map that provides a clear and concise path to cost reduction, supplier rationalization, and changes to the organization to support the on-going effectiveness of implemented programs


Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with our business partners
  • Leading assigned sourcing initiatives, which vary in terms of scope and scale
  • Conducting market tenders and managing the evaluation across a cross-functional team to determine supplier selection
  • Understanding business requirements and shaping deals to meet those requirements
  • Negotiating deals to achieve optimal commercial terms
  • Drafting contracts based on standard terms and conditions
  • Building relationships with key suppliers and multiple client groups.
  • Maintaining market awareness for assigned categories and contributing to sourcing area plans and business development.
  • Adhering to the Chain IQ corporate standards, including using the defined sourcing tools and processes in delivery of sourcing initiatives



  • Bachelor’s Degree required. (Supply Chain concentration and/or MBA would be a plus).
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in professional services (management consultants, legal services, recruitment, HR, etc.)
  • Proven capability of running multi-million-dollar sourcing projects
  • Demonstrated sourcing and negotiation experience; ability to perform contract drafting and negotiations with limited additional legal support for Master SW License Maintenance Agreements, Supply/Task Orders/SOWs; Amendments; Service Level Agreements; etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying savings and cost reduction opportunities in contract negotiations and developing and leading negotiating strategies to achieve those savings.  
  • Ability to quickly understand and apply new concepts (i.e., business models; governance models; supplier pricing models; contracting options and alternatives; sourcing tools and platforms; sourcing process, policies and procedures);
  • Client/stakeholder focus within the corporate environment with the gravitas to influence senior stakeholders
  • Professional team player, motivated and highly flexible
  • Experience in working with Ariba sourcing tools/systems would be a plus.
