Role Purpose

The primary purpose is to deliver value-add sourcing services to clients in a structured, professional and consistent manner.

We are seeking a procurement professional with a strong media buying background to join our Marketing Services Sourcing team. The ideal candidate brings hands-on media industry experience, understands the dynamics of agency and publisher negotiations, and can confidently operate in a client-facing, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead clients through end-to-end lifecycle of category strategy development, issuance of competitive tenders, and compliant contract negotiation and execution. Act as a subject matter expert in media and marketing procurement, advising clients on supplier capabilities and best practices.
  • Develop and implement sourcing and procurement strategies to drive value for clients.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on supplier marketing offerings, providing insights into strategies and developing innovative solutions with a focus on Media Strategy, Development and Execution.
  • Strong familiarity and deep expertise with the following areas of media buying:
    • Media Strategy Development – Identifying the best media channels (TV, radio, digital, print, etc.) to reach the target audience.
    • Negotiation & Purchasing – Securing ad placements at optimal rates through negotiations with media vendors.
    • Campaign Management – Monitoring ad placements, ensuring they run correctly, and adjusting strategies as needed.
    • Budget Optimization – Allocating funds efficiently to maximize exposure while minimizing costs.
    • Performance Analysis – Monitoring campaign effectiveness and making data-driven adjustments.
    • Market Research – Staying updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and audience behavior strategies.
  • Supporting the marketing global sourcing lead and team leads in conducting sourcing initiatives — including events, experiential, print, media buying, advertising, sponsorships, etc. — which vary in terms of complexity, scope and scale, both global and domestic. 
  • Managing the process of market tenders and subsequent evaluation of bid proposals across a cross-functional team to determine supplier selection. 
  • Understanding business requirements and shaping deals to meet those requirements. 
  • Drafting contracts based on standard terms and conditions. 
  • Negotiating contracts to achieve optimal commercial terms. 
  • Maintaining market awareness of the marketing and advertising landscape and contributing to sourcing area plans and business development. 
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with our business partners, key suppliers, and multiple client groups. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required. (Supply Chain and/or MBA would be a plus). 
  • Proven capability of running multi-million-dollar sourcing projects 
  • Experience in understanding contracts and contract drafting, with limited requirement for specialist legal support 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills 
  • Analytical skills for interpreting and optimizing campaign performance data.
  • Knowledge of digital and traditional media landscapes.
  • Budget management expertise, ability to report on success measures and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Ability to work with marketing teams and media vendors. Strong proficiency in data analysis, pivot tables, and PowerPoint presentations 
  • Client/stakeholder focus within the corporate environment with the gravitas to influence senior stakeholders and executive project sponsors 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, often to tight deadlines, and deliver results 
  • Experience in working with market leading sourcing tools and systems 
  • Professional team player, motivated and highly flexible with dedication towards delivering meaningful results 

What We Offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for New York City Metro Area is $120,000 to $160,0000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, qualifications, skills, location and applicable employment laws.
