Role Purpose
As a Senior Consultant, IT Sourcing, you will lead end-to-end sourcing projects while acting as a strategic partner to clients and stakeholders. You will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, leading negotiations, managing supplier relationships, mitigating risk, and delivering sustainable value across the technology landscape.
Success in this role requires a combination of commercial acumen, market intelligence, stakeholder management, and strong execution capabilities.
Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted advisor to business, technology, finance, legal, and supply chain stakeholders, aligning sourcing strategies with organizational objectives.

Lead complex end-to-end sourcing engagements across key technology categories, from demand identification through contract execution.

Develop and execute category, sourcing, and negotiation strategies that deliver commercial value, risk mitigation, and business outcomes.

Provide market intelligence, supplier insights, benchmarking, and industry best practices to influence technology and procurement decisions.

Manage competitive sourcing events, including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, eAuctions, supplier evaluations, and vendor selection processes.

Lead commercial negotiations with strategic suppliers, optimizing pricing, licensing, service levels, contractual terms, and total cost of ownership (TCO).

Deliver measurable value through cost savings, cost avoidance, service improvements, supplier performance enhancements, and innovation opportunities.

Partner with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Information Security, and Supply Chain teams to negotiate contracts, mitigate risk, and ensure policy and regulatory compliance.

Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, driving performance, governance, accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.

Ensure sourcing excellence through strong governance, accurate reporting, savings validation, process improvement, and mentoring of sourcing team members.
Requirements

Education in business, supply chain, procurement, finance, information technology, or a related discipline.

4+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management experience, including significant exposure to IT and technology categories within complex, global organizations.

Proven expertise sourcing and negotiating across software and SaaS, cloud services, infrastructure and hosting, hardware and end user computing, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and IT professional services.

Demonstrated ability to lead complex sourcing initiatives, delivering measurable commercial value through savings, cost avoidance, risk reduction, and supplier performance improvements.

Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills, with the ability to influence, challenge constructively, and build consensus across senior business and technology leaders.

Advanced commercial and financial acumen, including total cost of ownership (TCO), business case development, benchmarking, financial modeling, cost-benefit analysis, and savings validation.

Extensive experience negotiating technology contracts, licensing agreements, managed services, and other complex commercial arrangements while effectively mitigating risk.

Data-driven approach to decision making, leveraging market intelligence, analytics, and industry insights to shape sourcing and negotiation strategies.

Proficiency with sourcing, procurement, contract management, and analytics platforms, including SAP Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer, Archlet, Apadua, SAP, Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.

Operates with a consulting mindset, combining strategic thinking, client centricity, commercial focus, ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning to deliver exceptional business outcomes.
What We Offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for New York City metro area is $110,000 to $145,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, qualifications, skills, location and applicable employment laws. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401(k), and a wide range of paid time off options.
