Role Purpose

The primary purpose is to deliver value-add sourcing services to clients in a structured, professional and consistent manner.

We are seeking a dynamic, client-focused individual to lead our Sourcing Excellence team to be based in Jersey City NJ.  

Responsibilities

The Head Sourcing Excellence Americas Manager will lead the “Americas Sourcing Excellence Team” and will be part of the Global Sourcing Excellence Organization. This individual will enable sourcing in applying best in class sourcing techniques, templates and practices to deliver maximum value for our clients. They will strive to make positive impact on the organization, short and long term and working on implementing sourcing techniques and methodologies, co-design and run our Chain IQ Sourcing Academy and assures a consistent communication and best practices sharing towards our Sourcing Teams. This role reports directly to the Global Head Sourcing Excellence.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Act as subject matter expert (SME) for best practice in sourcing – and challenges, supports and coaches our sourcing organization to apply best practices.
• Assist in the design and  managing the implementation of the Chain IQ’s Sourcing Academy in the US
• Support Chain IQ in demonstrating market-leading competencies in sourcing services to clients by monitoring market developments relating to sourcing tools and methodologies
• Work with Global Sourcing Excellence team to identify issues/gaps relating service excellence through the development of new or improved tools.
• Understand sourcing systems utilized by clients, with focus on Chain IQ’s own multi-client solution, in order to drive excellence in how sourcing tools are applied to deliver maximum value,
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of sourcing systems across the multi-client environment and support the process owner in the implementation of process changes within the multi-client environment.
• Engage, liaise, and collaborate with the internal cross functional business areas as relevant (IT, Reporting, etc.).
• Close interaction with CIQ Consortia Buying function (Governance) to achieve efficient and sustainable implementation of launched programs and activities
• Proactive Interface to Client Engagement-, Category Management Function and Sourcing, to correlate and manage established strategies
• Implementing, managing and driving SJS pooling/bundling projects among clients
• Build and implement the “Chain IQ Sourcing Toolbox” incl. sourcing templates, user guides, checklist, eAuction approaches, RFx templates, financial analysis, negotiation strategies, presentation templates.

Requirements

• 10 years' work experience in sourcing and extensive sourcing know-how​
• Good understanding of sourcing processes, and market-leading technology’s
• Advanced level, by managing complex project team structures and/or responsibility for a direct reporting team of people
• Extensive experience in Project and Stakeholder Management
• Fast in understanding Quality processes and compliance requirements
• Challenging mindset, constantly striving to improve and achieve excellence
• Very strong written and verbal communication, presenting and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical and MS Excel skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects/tasks effectively
• Flexible and adaptable with demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, ambiguous environment

What we offer:

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for New York City Metro Area is $120,000 to $173,400, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, qualifications, skills, location and applicable employment laws.
