The Engagement Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the successful revenue growth in the region (and globally where required). They take a predominately external prospect/market perspective while working closely with cross functional teams to help drive new business prospecting and transition to the client and hand over to service delivery. They also assist Service Delivery Managers to complete services engagements where valuable. This role will collaborate with Sales & Market Enablement Teams (e.g. Solutions Analytics) and other functions to extract data required for prospect builds/client assessments (e.g. Sourcing team, Category Management, Service Delivery)


Tasks and Responsibilities:

Work with the Global Sales & Markets Enablement Team, C Suite and Subject Matter Expertise (SMEs) to:

  • Perform and contribute to specific client assessment opportunities either as standalone assignments or as part of the pre-sales process
  • Assess client requirements through the sales process and perform analysis of available resources such as client spend and contracts
  • Provide analysis and insight on available client data and information in order to provide a procurement perspective to assist in the proposal functional design
  • Co-ordinate the input from colleagues and other SME’s regarding the scope of the opportunities and associated content
  • Identify and refine marketing materials, prospect presentations and other pertinent sales collateral by establishing links with Category Management
  • Contribute to request for proposals, due diligence questionnaires and ad hoc requests from the sales team and other areas of the business timely and to a high standard
  • Work closely with sourcing, procurement and technical practitioners across Chain IQ to provide both best practice market insights and practical implementation advice to clients
  • Contribute to the quality and continuous improvement of sales collateral, case studies, infographics, white paper, new market offerings, win strategies for C Suite initiatives.
  • Leverage analytics and Chain IQ information and SME resources to Support their Global Sales Manager and /Regional sales teams to develop viable opportunities for growth, and support of the Global Priority Accounts.
  • As required, participate in sales presentations to support the sales team as a SME.

Sales Execution Support

  • Prospecting initiatives, innovative client-orientated solutions in order to demonstrate Chain IQ’s strategy and value
  • Collaborate with internal functions during the bidding processto create compelling proposals that lead to profitable contracts, expansion and assist scoped project work.



  • 10+ years of procurement practitioner and/or procurement consulting experience
  • Proven track record of designing, fostering and delivering C-Suite collateral to support the account planning/sales strategy
  • Highly responsive with demonstrated ability to take initiative, high degree of business acumen and interact with all levels within our firm
  • Given the nature of tasks, this candidate must be trusted to maintain confidentiality
  • Experienced, independent thinker with proven experience and capability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and stakeholders to deliver results
  • Excellent organization and planning skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to demonstrate awareness of business and organizational sensitivities and reflect this in approaches to communicating change
  • Advanced skills in Data Analysis methods using MS Solutions and Power BI and/or new/equivalent creative solutions
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent writing skills and an ability to translate complicated concepts into comprehensible language for the target audience
  • Work alongside colleagues to develop and test new creative assets
  • Strong time management and ability to adhere to tight deadlines
  • A good aptitude to learn and a willingness to share knowledge and to learn from others
  • Experience with electronic knowledge, repository management, intranets/portals, collaborative tools
