Title:  Data Engineer - Platform & Pipelines

We are rebuilding the data foundation behind procurement workflows, automation and emerging AI-driven capabilities. This role focuses on how data enters the platform, how it is processed, validated and made reliable for downstream use by applications, analytics and automated workflows. 

This is a hands-on engineering role in a fast-moving environment. You will replace report-centric logic with robust pipelines and shared datasets that the entire platform can depend on. 

Responsibilities 

• Build and maintain ingestion pipelines from operational systems, files, APIs and events 

• Design batch and streaming data pipelines that are resilient, observable and testable 

• Normalize, enrich and transform raw data into reusable, well-structured datasets 

• Enforce schemas, validate inputs and manage schema evolution 

• Implement data quality checks and surface issues early 

• Ensure data pipelines respect tenant and line-of-business isolation 

• Collaborate closely with the Data Architect to implement modelling and governance standards 

• Support migration of logic out of dashboards and into shared data pipelines 

• Balance delivery speed with reliability and long-term maintainability

• Data ingestion frameworks and transformation pipelines 

• Lakehouse-style storage and processing layers 

• Structured and semi-structured source systems 

• Data validation, quality and monitoring tooling 

• Access control concepts applied at the data layer 

• Downstream consumers including applications, analytics and automation 

Requirements 

• Full professional fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory

• Experience building production data pipelines 

• Strong understanding of data modelling and transformation principles 

• Familiarity with schema management, data validation and failure handling 

• Ability to think beyond BI and reporting use cases 

• Comfort working in environments where requirements evolve quickly 

• A mindset focused on building durable, reusable foundations
