Role Purpose 

The Supplier Risk Team Manager leads a multi-location team across Romania and India to deliver best in class ESG supplier risk management for our clients. 

The role owns end-to-end supplier risk management delivery, from intake and prioritization through to execution and reporting, while acting as the interface between clients, stakeholders, and delivery teams, and driving structured change management, continuous improvement, and a consulting-led approach to enhance client outcomes. 

It requires strong people and process leadership to ensure service quality, clear governance, and disciplined management of risks, dependencies, and escalations. The role also develops team capability and improves processes to drive better data, insights, and client outcomes. 

 

Responsibilities 

Service Delivery & Governance 

  • Own end-to-end supplier risk management process delivery from intake and planning to execution and closure 

  • Ensure clear governance, timelines, and progress visibility 

  • Align priorities and provide transparency on risks, dependencies, KPIs, and resources 

  • Own and maintain accurate and complete data for reporting and decision-making 

  • Identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities from delivery and risk data 

  • Define and improve quality standards, controls, and audit-ready documentation 

  • Collaborate across regions and stakeholders in a global matrix environment 

Client Management & Consultancy 

  • Act as primary contact for client teams and manage expectations 

  • Translate client needs into clear delivery plans 

  • Challenge constructively and identify improvement opportunities 

  • Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of escalations 

  • Support assessments, remediation follow-up, exception handling, and reporting 

  • Support improvement of supplier risk frameworks and processes 

 Performance Management & Reporting 

  • Own KPIs, reporting, and operational review cadence 

  • Manage capacity planning, forecasting, and workload allocation 

  • Maintain and improve dashboards to enable proactive performance management 

  • Deliver accurate, timely client reporting and improve data quality over time 

Continuous Improvement & Capability Building 

  • Drive process optimization to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability 

  • Drive automation and practical use of AI tools 

  • Deliver training and develop SOPs, playbooks, and knowledge materials 

  • Support audits and ensure strong documentation and controls 

People Leadership & Resource Planning 

  • Lead, develop and motivate a high-performing team across Romania and India 

  • Set clear expectations, priorities, and performance standards 

  • Foster accountability, collaboration, trust and continuous learning 

  • Manage capacity and workload distribution 

  • Identify skill gaps and drive capability development 

 

Requirements 

 Ownership 

  • Proven experience in operational service delivery, consulting, supplier or risk management, or procurement 

  • Strong process and project management skills with the ability to structure work, manage priorities, and drive end-to-end delivery

  • Proactive and reliable, with the ability to take ownership of decisions, operate independently, and deliver in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment 

  • High level of professional integrity and strong communication skills

  • Proven stakeholder and client-facing experience, with the ability to understand needs, manage expectations, and deliver practical outcomes 

Mutual Respect 

  • Proven leadership experience, including leading, coaching, and developing teams across locations 

  • Ability to build trust, collaborate effectively, and work across diverse teams and stakeholders 

Entrepreneurial Mindset 

  • Data-driven and improvement-oriented, with strong Excel skills (large datasets, analysis, reporting, dashboards) 

  • Experience in process optimization, digitalization, and use of tools including AI where relevant 

General 

  • Relevant degree in supply chain, business, or environmental sciences/engineering; sustainability focus is a plus 

  • Interest in supplier risk management, ESG, or related topics 

  • Fluent in written and spoken English
