IT Team Leader – Romania

Location: Bucharest (Hybrid)
Department: IT Sourcing
Reports to: Global Sourcing Lead, IT Software & Hardware

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced IT Team Leader to manage and develop our Romania‑based IT sourcing team. In this role, you will lead a group of sourcing professionals, ensure the delivery of high‑quality sourcing outcomes for multiple global clients, and drive operational excellence across software and hardware procurement.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence category execution, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to Chain IQ’s global success.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and mentor a team of IT sourcing specialists (up to ~10 FTE).
• Conduct performance evaluations, guide career development, and support team capability building.
• Foster a collaborative, high‑performance culture.

Operational Delivery

• Translate organizational and client objectives into actionable team targets.
• Oversee sourcing project execution, ensuring adherence to category strategy, quality standards, and timeline expectations.
• Review sourcing strategies and support negotiations as needed.

Resource & Workload Management

• Allocate team workload effectively, ensuring capacity balance and timely delivery across multiple clients.
• Coordinate closely with global and regional leaders to resolve capacity constraints.

Pipeline & Strategy Execution

• Ensure structured management of multi‑client pipelines.
• Identify bundling and optimization opportunities across sourcing events.
• Support implementation of category strategies for IT Software, Hardware, and related services.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Maintain strong relationships with regional stakeholders and support client interactions.
• Act as a point of contact for category‑specific topics within the region.
• Ensure high client satisfaction and proactive communication.

Your Profile

• Proven experience in IT procurement or IT sourcing (software, hardware, or related services).
• Demonstrated people‑leadership experience or strong leadership potential.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑client environment with strong prioritization skills.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
