Role Purpose

The primary purpose is to drive sustainable supply chain developments by ensuring supplier sustainability, environmental compliance, and social responsibility. By providing strategic guidance, monitoring performance, and ensuring robust governance processes, the ESG Project Manager helps our clients to meet their responsible supply chain goals.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a ESG Project Manager to join the ESG team. The ESG Project Manager needs to be a dynamic, highly client-focused individual with proven experience in people management and team leadership.

Main responsibilities will include:

• You lead a global team of ESG consultants
• You report to and work closely with the Global Head of ESG in managing project and task execution for our customers.
• You ensure quality standards and processes are in place to ensure maximum delivery efficiency with regard to supplier sustainability performance in areas of environmental and social.
• Executive presentation in Power Point and large data analysis in Excel are second nature.
• You act as point of contact for the client team and ensure their satisfaction.
• You take over responsibility for projects from beginning to end with proper structuring, planning and execution including monitoring.
• You work in a global matrix organization within the Chain IQ ESG team, which is located in three countries, working closely with our customer as well as internal stakeholders.
• You support, coach, and mentor stakeholder on areas of project delivery, governance management where necessary.

Requirements:

• Experience in working in an international environment and leading a team
• Bachelor or Master in environmental sciences/engineering/management, or business degree with further education in sustainability.
• Strong project management skills, and eager to create new solutions and advance novel approaches.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Passion for corporate sustainability with proven experience in sustainable supply chain management, ESG operations, or related areas.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Fluent in spoken and written English, German is a strong advantage.
