About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Corporate Events & External Relations Manager to lead our strategic event planning and external stakeholder engagement activities. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality corporate events and managing key external relationships with organizations such as the Lucerne Dialogue, Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce, and other relevant external bodies. You will play a pivotal role in strengthening our brand presence, building external partnerships, and promoting thought leadership initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Events Management
- Plan, coordinate, and execute corporate events, conferences, networking sessions, and forums, ensuring alignment with business strategy and brand standards.
- Manage event budgets, contracts, vendor negotiations, and logistics (venue, catering, technology, etc.).
- Develop event communication plans including invitations, follow-ups, and internal communications.
- Track event performance, attendee feedback, and continuously optimize event experiences.
External Relations Management
- Serve as the key liaison for external mandates such as the Lucerne Dialogue, Swiss American Chamber of Commerce, and other industry bodies.
- Coordinate company participation in external events, forums, and networking opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, associations, and key stakeholders.
- Prepare briefing documents, speaking points, and other materials for leadership participation at external events.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with leadership, marketing, and communications teams to ensure alignment on external messaging and brand positioning.
- Support internal reporting on external relations activities and event outcomes.
Administration and Reporting
- Maintain an external engagements calendar and stakeholder database.
- Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on event outcomes, external relations activities, and emerging opportunities.
Requirements:
Experience and Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience in event management, external relations, or corporate communications.
- Strong project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple events and initiatives simultaneously.
- Experience working with senior executives and external organizations at a high professional standard.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in [insert language(s), e.g., English and German].
- Strong networking and relationship management skills.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving attitude, and ability to work under pressure.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Event management experience (optional but a plus).
